A Doncaster business man is drumming up support for a local music festival as once again the marriage of caravans and music is set to achieve great things!

Jon Goulden, Chairman of Yorkshire Caravans of Bawtry and drummer in the Yorkshire band NME (Nineties Music Experience) has pledged his support to T-Fest 2017 by sponsoring the Rock Stage and performing with his band as the support act for this year’s headline act, FIVE.

“Duke Ellington enjoyed great success with ‘Caravan’ and The Housemartins with ‘Caravan of Love’ – now NME and Yorkshire Caravans hope to achieve great things at this year’s festival,” said Jon. “As a relatively new band we are still fine tuning our live performances but feel really excited and honoured to have been chosen to perform at this year’s local Festival.”

As sponsors of the Rock Stage, Yorkshire Caravans will display one of its caravans at the festival for people to explore and see just how well equipped and comfortable 21st century caravans are. Fitted with lots of modern and convenient facilities families are able to take to the road whenever the mood takes them exploring the county and beyond in the comfort of their own caravan – indeed one of the biggest customer sectors is those under 40 who are enjoying the flexibility ‘stay-cationing’ can bring.

“T-Fest is an amazing music event that all the family can enjoy and which raises significant amounts of money for local charity Firefly and Cancer Research UK, both of which we are very proud to be associated with,” said Jon. “I have been performing in bands for over 20 years and was invited to join Leeds based band NME after applying to an advertisement on facebook. The 5 piece band will take to the Main stage for a 50 minute set at approximately 4.30pm and will be performing all the greatest hits of the 90’s, in my opinion the greatest musical decade!  We have the philosophy that if you can’t sing along or dance to the song we don’t play it and we can’t wait to experience the T-Fest crowd.”

T-Fest will take place at Tickhill Cricket Ground on Saturday 23rd September 2017 between 12 noon and 11pm.

Over 400 bands applied to take part in this year’s festival with almost 20 bands/performers providing musical entertainment across a spectrum of genres.
