A fun and friendly 5k in the grounds of The Yorkshire Wildlife Park all in support of the Yorkshire Wildlife Park Foundation!

We’re really excited about the opportunity to work with the great team at the park to bring you this amazing event. The main 5k event is suitable for everyone aged 11 and over plus we have a separate junior fun run on the day for ages 4 and over (simply add on a fun runner to your entry, this will be up to 1 mile in distance)

Working with the Yorkshire Wildlife Park team our aim’s are simple, have a great fun filled event, contribute to the health and well-being of the community, raise sponsorship and awareness for the Yorkshire Wildlife Park Foundation.

So if you’re feeling inspired to take part then read on, get entered and don’t forget you can support the Yorkshire Wildlife Park Foundation by raising sponsorship, buying a t-shirt or simply making a direct donation. Just select on your entry form.

Entry price is just £20 and includes a medal, post race snack & water plus it allows you to access the great surrounds of the wildlife park for the rest of the day! (standalone entry is £16 so we think this is great value for a 5k event and entry for just £4 more)
You can even pop home, get a shower and come back later (but make sure you keep your wrist band on!)

With around 3k in the park you’ll get to see plenty of animals on your way round (dont forget to look!) The route has been planned in conjunction with the needs of the wildlife so some animals we wont be running past but you can pop and say hello to them after the run.

If you would like to bring along spectators then you can bring up to 3 with you, they will have restricted access to the grounds staying off the running course during the event but can see the runners at several key locations and from around 10:00 will then have full access to the park for the rest of the day. This is offered at a discounted rate as entry to the park is normally £16 for an adult and we’re able to offer this for just £10! (further discounts for juniors etc annual pass holders can accompany the runner for free, if they wish to run the event this at the standard event price)
