Spring is definitely in the air and we’ve got a few things to tell you about so that you can make the best of Brilliant Bawtry!
Firstly, there have been a few changes afoot lately on how we share news with you. The launch of our fantastic new website www.visitbawtry.com will see a great forum with information and news about our retailers and the town to keep you up to speed. And our Facebook page and other social media platforms have enjoyed something of an overhaul meaning more information is shared that way too!
And then there a few new things to do to. Yorkshire Caravans will be opening late each Thursday until 8pm from 4th May to 29th June giving you even more time to get yourself sorted for a fab caravan or camping holiday.
Also, as the days get longer and we all feel like going out more why not try the new breakfast crepes, wraps and omelettes available on Saturday & Sunday’s from 10 am at 31 Market Place, sample the new restaurant menu at the Crown Hotel and book up quickly for a legendary China Rose Showtime event – launched 5 years ago the live music evenings are proving more popular than ever and constantly attract sell out audiences. Not forgetting the Bawtry winners of Eastside’s 2016 Restaurant of the Year Awards – Best Lunch Bawtry Bar & Brasserie, Colemans Pizzeria & Steakhouse who won the Reader’s Choice award and Best Contemporary & Restaurant of the Year Caviars.
Limited 2 Art will be welcoming Yorkshire Landscape artist Danny Abrahams on Saturday 6th May from 12 noon – 3 pm and who spotted two sporting heroes in the town recently? Both Frankie Dettori and Carl Fogarty visited the town in the same weekend!
Looking back we will have enjoyed the second Tour de Yorkshire Pro-Am Cycle Ride which raised a significant amount of money for Firefly and Cancer Research UK with Bawtry business owners Sarah White of Bawtry Eye Academy and Emily Harbon of & She Knows organising the successful event. Another fabulous Visit Bawtry Race Day took place at Doncaster Racecourse with business owners, residents and guests enjoying an evening together.
Looking forward we have our annual Visit Bawtry Polo Cup which takes place on Sunday 2nd July which is always a fantastic event, especially if the sun shines!
