Bawtry Christmas shopping week
Whilst the fabulous annual Christmas market event has been cancelled for this year, the Bawtry Retail Association are planning on hosting a week-long event ‘Bawtry Christmas Shopping Week,’ which will run from Sunday 22 November to Saturday 28 November, when an array of independent retailers will be showcasing all their Christmas gifts. The trees will be up, the lights will be on, windows will be dressed and visitors will be able to soak up the wonderful festive atmosphere including a visit to the fabulous Womacks of BawtryWinter Wonderland Courtyard.
Bawtry is a great place to avoid the crowds, the chain stores, the internet and is the perfect destination to find wonderful gifts, designer fashion and foodie treats such as festive cheese boards from The Little Deli. Gift vouchers are also a perfect way to support your local businesses this Christmas and Ziniz Group of Restaurants will be offering a free beautifully wrapped gift box on all Gift Vouchers bought during the week.Vouchers are available in multiples of £25 and are valid for 12 months for all of their four venues Ziniz in Bawtry, Rocco’s Italian Kitchen in Tickhill and The Herbalist & Dante’s Italian in Retford – the perfect dining experience gift for the person who has everything!
Magic and bubbles
If your festive preparations involve a Baileys Espresso Martini, then you’ll be pleased to hear that the Crown Hotel are bringing it back this Christmas! Or, if bubbles are more your thing, then they are hosting ‘Bottomless Bubbles’ events on Christmas Eve and NewYears Eve, as well as Magical December Dinners every Friday and Saturday. Or, book the family in for one of the popular Bawtry Bar and Brasserie’s delicious ‘Host the Christmas Roast’ festive platters available every day between 12noon and 5pm throughout December. It goes without saying that all our other stylish bars and fantastic individual restaurants are now also taking bookings for Christmas too.
Lights and lanterns
We are so lucky to have the award-winning Yorkshire Wildlife Park on our doorstep and they are hosting a
light and lantern festival running from November until early January. Set to dazzle with over 1,000 lanterns and 42 different displays, the 2400 metre trail will be a stunning display of winter lluminations. Attendance is by ticket only and festive food and drink will be available to get everyone into the Christmas spirit.

Navy Professional to The Courtyard, where Navy Educate will be hosting training courses along with a small range of retail products including brand scented candles, cosmetics and accessories. It is great to see a Doncaster business doing so well, selling their British Standard Beauty
