The Tasting Note has a vast selection of quality wines, champagnes, speciality spirits and premium ales, craft beers, lagers and ciders. In fact, if there is anything that they haven’t got, and they can get it, they are very happy to order it for you. They also stock a huge range of the popular Cuban Havana Cigars along with glassware and gifts.
The lovely Phyll Clark has been the face of the High Street shop for over 20 years and since her partner Roy Halifax bought the business in 2014 they both remain very passionate about what they do and continue to drive the business forward. In fact, in January 2020 they opened their doors and also became home to The Little Deli and together they remain at the heart of the community offering a warm welcome and superb customer service.
The Tasting Note is open Tues-Thurs 9 am–6 pm, Fri 9 am–8 pm and Sun 11 am–5 pm. Special Christmas gifts include lots of festive premium ales and beautifully presented vintage ports and they are also offering free gift wrapping during December
